In the age of social media, going viral can be a double-edged sword. For some, it means growth, opportunity, and connection. For others, it becomes an unexpected entry point for harassment, boundary violations, and emotional strain. Creator Tobias, known online as @tobblesv2, recently experienced the darker side of internet fame and he’s speaking out about it.
The Outfit That Sparked Attention
It began with a simple video. Tobias had attended an event that required formal attire a collared shirt and blazer. He posted the video to TikTok to share his look with his followers. The clip quickly went viral, gaining massive attention overnight, particularly in South Africa.
Among the thousands of new viewers, many began speculating about his nationality. Despite Tobias clearly stating that he’s Nigerian, some viewers insisted he was South African. At first, he had no issue with the conversation until things took a troubling turn.
From Comments to Harassment
As the video spread, Tobias was followed by approximately 2,000 gay men, many of whom began leaving sexually explicit comments under his videos. One particularly disturbing wave of comments appeared under a video in which Tobias candidly said, “Hi, I’m bipolar.”
The responses were appalling:
“It’s always the crazy ones that are good in bed.”
“The crazy ones are always hung.”
Mental health was reduced to a sexual stereotype, and Tobias was objectified in the most degrading way.
A Line Was Crossed
But the situation escalated further.
Tobias awoke to over 150 emails in a single day sent to the business contact email listed on his Linktree. These emails weren’t business inquiries. Instead, they included:
- Unsolicited nudes
- Explicit videos of people engaging in sexual acts
- Photos of private areas, including "ass spreads"
And most disturbingly, an AI-generated pornographic image of Tobias himself, manipulated into a dehumanizing and disgusting sexual pose.
For Tobias, this was the line. “I have no problem with any community,” he said, “but when it becomes vile, that’s when it’s a problem.”

Setting Boundaries
In response, Tobias announced that he’s taking time to block all 2,000 new followers who participated in or enabled the harassment. He acknowledges the reality
