Nonku Williams and Jojo Robinson Reunite After Public Fallout: Real Housewives Stars Rekindle Friendship Days After Split

The Real Housewives of Durban stars appear to patch things up just days after announcing their friendship breakup

Jojo and Nonku share playful reunion video one week after emotional fallout aired on RHOD image  via Instagram

Just a week after announcing the end of their close friendship, Real Housewives of Durban stars Nonku Williams and Jojo Robinson have left fans stunned by reuniting on social media. The pair posted a video of themselves dancing together, captioned:

“When you just ended a friendship 7 days ago publicly.”

The unexpected clip has sparked speculation that the once-unbreakable bond between the two reality stars affectionately dubbed “Joku” by fans may be on the mend.

The fallout between Nonku and Jojo became public earlier this year, following mounting tension and silence between the two. Their rift came to a head during the RHOD Season 5 reunion, which aired on July 11, 2025. In an emotional segment, Jojo tearfully shared how Nonku had cut off communication for over a month without explanation.

“It hurts. I really did love her,” Jojo said, breaking down as she revealed that she had been left in the dark about the reasons behind the fallout.

Social media users had already picked up signs of trouble back in June, when the two unfollowed each other on Instagram often a modern-day signal of a broken bond. Fans quickly noticed, and speculation grew over the fate of their five-year friendship.

Nonku later explained the cause of the breakup in more spiritual terms. She said her deepening Christian faith made her reevaluate the people in her life including Jojo.

“As I've deepened my faith, our paths have diverged… Unfortunately, our differences led to misunderstandings,” Nonku told followers in a statement that many viewed as a quiet but firm boundary.

While she did not speak negatively about Jojo, the message was clear: she felt the friendship no longer aligned with her values or beliefs.

Instead of retaliating, Jojo took a vulnerable approach. She shared a heartfelt montage of their friendship, along with a reflective message to Nonku. In it, she apologized for any part she played in the fallout and expressed gratitude for their time together.

“Though it’s ended, it was real,” she wrote, captioning a video filled with old clips and emotional highlights from their bond.

She admitted to blocking Nonku at one point and acknowledged the emotional toll of the breakup, saying she still missed her former friend despite understanding they were “on different journeys.”

Then came the surprise: a short video posted to social media, showing the two dancing side-by-side laughing and clearly enjoying each other’s company. The caption poked fun at their very public split just a week earlier.

It was enough to ignite hope among fans that the “Joku” friendship might not be over after all.

Whether this reunion signals a true reconciliation or simply a temporary moment of lightness remains to be seen. Nonku has not publicly responded to Jojo’s emotional posts, and the core differences that led to their split particularly around faith have not been resolved publicly.

Still, the dancing video signals that some kind of bridge has been rebuilt if not fully crossed.

The reunion highlights a deeper truth about friendships forged in the public eye: they often play out under intense pressure, with viewers weighing in on every move. For Nonku and Jojo, balancing personal growth, spiritual shifts, and public expectation has clearly taken a toll.
